RCDBManager / Main screen / TOSEC DAT contents / Loading process
In the tree, not all contents of the TOSEC DAT are loaded. For instance, CUEs and Scripts folders (which do not contain actual DAT files) are not loaded.
The actual data are loaded in a specific way. The first tree node is always the filename of the selected DAT (“DAT file / folder” field). After that, the three folders containing .dat files are added as children (TOSEC, TOSEC-ISO, TOSEC-PIX). Each of these folders contain actual DAT files that have specific naming (defined by the TOSEC team). An example is: Amstrad CPC - Applications - [BIN] (TOSEC-v2014-10-28_CM).dat
In each DAT filename, “ - ” is used as a separator to identify the name of each part. The first part is always the “Platform” (“Amstrad CPC” in the example above). So, each part of the filename is added to the tree as a child node of its previous part. So Amstrad CPC - Applications - [BIN] (TOSEC-v2014-10-28_CM).dat is actually transformed to Amstrad CPC\Applications\[BIN] (TOSEC-v2014-10-28_CM).dat.
Each treenode has a preceding icon (folder or file accordingly). Each of those icons have specific colors with specific meaning. These colors are described here.
